This policy covers the apps made by Tamemon, an independent studio in the United Kingdom: River Otter and Tetsu Training Pal. It also covers this website. Tamemon is the controller of any personal information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].

The short version

Our apps do not ask you to create an account, and they do not send your progress, workouts or answers to us. What you enter stays on your phone.

What the apps store

• River Otter saves your game progress, settings and purchases on your device.
• Tetsu Training Pal saves your name, workouts, weights, streaks, plan, progress and your answers to the safety questions (for example about injuries) on your device. This information is used only to run the app, such as choosing suitable exercises. It is not sent to us.

If you delete an app or clear its data, this information is removed from your phone. Tetsu Training Pal lets you export a backup file or code; if you do, you decide where it is kept.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos or microphone data.
• We do not run advertising or analytics tools in the apps at the moment.
• We do not sell your information.

Purchases

Where the apps offer optional purchases or subscriptions (for example the River Otter Supporter pack or Tetsu Plus), they are processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details and receipts under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, but not your payment details.

Fonts and other services

The apps are being prepared so that everything they need is included in the app itself. If an app ever needs to load something from the internet, the server it contacts will see your IP address, as with any web request.

If we add ads or analytics later

If a future update adds advertising or analytics, we will update this policy first and describe what is collected and by whom.

Health and training information

Tetsu Training Pal is a training guide. It is not medical advice and cannot diagnose or treat anything. Talk to a doctor or physiotherapist before you start training if you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant. Because this information stays on your phone, we cannot see it or recover it for you.

Children

Our apps are not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because your information stays on your own device, you can see, change or delete it yourself from inside the app or by clearing the app's data. If you contact us about information we hold, we will respond within one month. Under UK data protection law you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
